Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation staff recently received word that Santa Claus, of the North Pole, is scheduled to appear at the MFBF Annual Convention on December 2.

Claus will make his appearance at 11:30 a.m. following Sunday worship service. He has set aside an hour and a half of time for pictures with families.

“We are extremely excited that Santa Claus was able to rearrange his schedule this close to Christmas to attend Annual Convention,” Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation President Mike McCormick said. “It is an honor to host him. This will be the perfect opportunity for our families in attendance to get their Santa pictures and pass along any last minute gift wish items.”

MFBF’s Annual Convention will be held from December 1-2 at the Jackson Hilton hotel. American Farm Bureau Federation Vice President Scott VanderWal will kick off the first general session on Saturday at 1 p.m., while Walt Grayson will serve as the keynote speaker of the County Farm Bureau Awards and Recognition Dinner at 6 p.m.

McCormick will take membership on a journey of MFBF’s year in his annual address during the general session on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Members from across the state will have the chance to compete in contests for prizes and scholarships.

“Get ready for a ton of fun and fellowship at the 2018 Annual Convention,” McCormick said. “We can’t wait to see you there.”
