Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation recently hosted Josh Peaster, legislative aide to the office of United States Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, for a day-long agricultural tour.
Peaster’s day consisted of meetings with staff from MFBF, Mississippi Forestry Association, the Catfish Institute, Mississippi Forestry Commission and Mississippi Cattleman’s Association. The conversations revolved around each organization updating Peaster on issues facing their members.
“We appreciate Josh taking the time to visit with many of the agricultural organizations throughout Mississippi,” MFBF President Mike McCormick said. “It’s vitally important for all of us to work together to communicate with the offices of our U.S. senators and representatives, and farm tours and meetings are one way we do that.”
Following his meetings, Peaster visited Gaddis Farms in Bolton.
