Robert Earl McGehee of Lincoln County was recently elected the new Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation South Mississippi Region Vice President.

On Tuesday, November 17, the ballots for the election were counted at the MFBF building. Present for the count were the three candidates – Louis Breaux IV, Larry Jefcoat and Robert Earl McGehee – Credentials Chair James Foy, MFBF’s outside auditor Charles Lindsay, and three MFBF staff members.

McGehee will assume this role at the conclusion of the MFBF convention on December 7, 2020.

“I want to thank Mr. Louis Breaux for his years of service to the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation,” MFBF President Mike McCormick said. “I also want to thank Larry Jefcoat for his dedication to MFBF and his willingness to put his name forward for election. Both of these gentlemen are dedicated Farm Bureau members, and I look forward to continuing to work with them as we move Mississippi agriculture forward and continue to be the “Voice of Agriculture.”
