Although Farm Bureau members did not get to gather for a County Awards and Recognition Dinner at the end of 2020 like they have in years past, the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation still recognized an outstanding county from each region. These counties were selected based on their accomplishments in all program areas of Farm Bureau, including stars of excellence, raffle ticket quota, 2020 quota, Farm Families of Mississippi sponsorship and safety merit. Grenada County Farm Bureau was selected from those eight counties to receive the MFBF President’s Award for the most outstanding county in the state.

In addition to the regional Outstanding County Awards, MFBF awarded several other counties who excelled this year. Those awards and county winners are as follows:

  • Mike Blankenship Outstanding County Safety Awards – Grenada County (North), Humphreys County (Central), Clark County (South)
  • Gary Chittom Membership Awards – Benton County (Counties with less than 1,750 members), Washington County (Counties with more than 1,750 members)
  • K. Simpson Memorial Award – Washington County
  • Rising Star Award – Grenada County
  • Excellence Awards – Jackson County (Public Relations and Agriculture Promotion), Jackson County (Leadership Development), Rankin County (Policy Development and Advocacy)
