American Farm Bureau Federation Director of Congressional Relations Allison Crittenden recently visited several Mississippi farms to learn more about the state’s agriculture industry.

The first stop of her tour in Mississippi consisted of visiting with Tunica County Farm Bureau board member and Delta Council President Patrick Johnson. From there, she visited Shelby Flying Service where she spoke to the owner, Ike Brunetti, about agricultural aviation in the state.

After that stop, she met with leaders in Bolivar County Farm Bureau to discuss the H-2A South Africa program. She ended the day with a tour of the Mississippi State University Delta Branch Research & Extension Center and roundtable discussion regarding pesticide issues with numerous agriculture industry leaders.

“We are extremely thankful Allison took the time to visit our great state,” Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation President Mike McCormick said. “I am proud of the productive discussions that took place during this tour.”
