General Internship

JOB DESCRIPTION: Intern will be educated about the many programs and services of Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation by spending time with staff from several departments. The intern will be exposed to the many issues facing Mississippi farmers and ranchers and the programs MFBF provides to its members. By the end of the program, the intern should have a better understanding of production agriculture, MFBF policy, and the role Farm Bureau plays in this state’s largest industry. This program strives to fit the interests of the selected candidate while serving MFBF and its members.


LOCATION: Based in Jackson, MS (some in-state and out-of-state travel required – expenses paid)

SALARY: Up to $4,800 (based on length of program)

HOUSING: Optional stipend for housing up to $2,000

ELIGIBILITY:  Must be a college junior  or above for the 2018-2019  school  year, studying a field of agriculture. Must  be attending a Mississippi university or college and be a Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation member or member family.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: Must be received by February 22, 2019
