The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Summit will be held on July 21, 2021 at the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation office, located at 6311 Ridgewood Road, Jackson 39211. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 10 a.m.
The meeting will provide an in-depth look into Farm Bureau’s grassroots policy development and implementation methods, and will focus on why it is important for young farmers to be engaged in the political process, while providing training to prepare young farmers to build better relationships with their elected officials and to become stronger advocates for agriculture in the legislative arena.
All young farmers and ranchers, young agricultural professionals and their spouses are invited to attend.
The YF&R Leadership Summit will be held in conjunction with the MFBF Summer Commodity Conference. YF&R Leadership Summit participants are encouraged to attend both events.
On July 21, MFBF President Mike McCormick will host a reception for all conference participants at 5:30 p.m. at the MFBF building, located at 6311 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS 39211. The conference will be held on July 22 at the Mississippi Trade Mart Center, located on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds at 1200 Mississippi Street, Jackson, MS 39201. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 10 a.m.
There is no registration fee to attend these events. Lunch will be provided both days.
