Catfish Industry Champion Roger Barlow Honored as Ag Ambassador

Roger Barlow, longtime CEO of The Catfish Institute, has been named the 2025 Agriculture Ambassador. Barlow’s career began on his family’s cattle and soybean farm before shifting into agricultural finance, marketing, and ultimately industry leadership.

For more than 22 years, he has served catfish farmers across the South, unifying producers, promoting U.S. farm-raised catfish nationwide, and launching programs such as the Young Farmer Leadership initiative.

Barlow’s passion for agriculture, his respect for the land, and his decades of service have left a lasting impact on the catfish industry, Mississippi agriculture, and Farm Bureau members across the Southeast.
