The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation State Women’s Leadership Committee selected “The Life and Times of the Peanut” authored and illustrated by Charles Micucci as its 2022 Book of the Year. The book walks readers through the uncommon history of the peanut, including where it was first grown, what it has been used for and how it has traveled the world.

The MFBF State Women’s Leadership Committee sponsors a Book of the Year and teaches activities corresponding to the book in classrooms throughout the state each year.
