Gaddys Earn 2025 Excellence in Agriculture Award for Strengthening Family Legacy

Garrett and Kortney Gaddy have been honored as the 2025 Young Farmers & Ranchers Excellence in Agriculture Award winners. The Gaddys represent a proud multi-generational farm family—now raising the fifth generation on land first settled in the late 1800s. Their operation, once focused on tomatoes and cabbage, has transitioned to beef cattle and timber as they work to build a strong future for their children.

After becoming active in Farm Bureau, the Gaddys found value in learning from other farmers and serving their community. Together, they credit Farm Bureau with strengthening their leadership skills and helping them tell agriculture’s story. Their dedication to preserving their family’s legacy and improving their community earned them this year’s Excellence in Agriculture Award.
