Lewis Earns 2025 Extension Education Award for Service to Farmers and Communities

Hinds County Extension agent Kyle Lewis has been honored with the 2025 Extension Education Award for his outstanding service to farmers, landowners, and consumers across one of Mississippi’s most diverse counties.

From herd health to home horticulture, Lewis uses his agricultural upbringing and professional training to guide producers through challenges and connect families with accurate agricultural knowledge. He organizes meetings, field days, cattlemen’s programs, and row-crop schools—all designed to strengthen the relationship between the public and the agricultural community.

Lewis views trust-building and education as the core of his work and remains committed to helping people understand where their food and fiber come from.
