President Mike McCormick Attends Great American Agriculture Celebration at the White House

Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation President Mike McCormick and National Affairs Coordinator Justin Ferguson were two of hundreds of farmers and ranchers invited to the White House Friday by President Donald Trump for the “Great American Agriculture Celebration.” The event focuses on boosting American agriculture, discussing new biofuel blending quotas, and easing regulations for farming equipment.

The administration is highlighting actions to lower agricultural input costs, enhance rural loan guarantees, and bolster the farm safety net. The event also highlighted updates to the 2026-27 Renewable Fuel Standard, increasing the required volume of U.S. biofuels and served to reinforce the role of U.S. farmers in feeding the nation, coming on the heels of National Ag Day activities.

The event follows the USDA Secretary Brook Rollins recent announcement of a “Product of USA” labeling initiative designed to support domestic producers. Meat, poultry, and processed egg products from animals born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States are eligible, and encouraged by Rollins, to use the voluntary “Product of USA” seal.

“It’s great to see President Trump making agriculture a priority,” said McCormick. “Now more than ever, Mississippi’s and this nation’s farmers and ranchers need his support to continue growing the food and fiber this country needs to sustain itself. This was great to see, and I’m proud to represent our members on this day.”
